Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System seeks a Clinical Pharmacist for overnight coverage in the Emergency Department. You will provide patient-centered care, support hospital-wide emergency response, and contribute to inpatient operations while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and staff.

The role emphasizes clinical and operational work in a fast-paced environment, including precepting students and participating in committees. Night shift rotates 7 on/7 off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Current license to practice as a Pharmacist in Ohio.
• PGY1 residency or three years of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, distribution and dispensing of medications in compliance with regulations; supervise pharmacy staff.
• Maintain compliance and records for pharmacy transactions and regulatory readiness.
• Manage inventory, shelf life, non-formulary requests, and audits.
• Interpret and verify medication orders; collaborate with multidisciplinary team for optimal therapy.
