Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a licensed pharmacist to serve as overnight coverage for the emergency department and the hospital's broader emergency response. The role also supports operations and clinical workflows within the inpatient pharmacy.

Ideal candidates are comfortable in fast-paced environments and can manage critical situations. A PGY1 residency or 3 years hospital practice is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Pharmacist in Ohio.
• Experience: PGY1 residency or three years of institutional pharmacy experience in an advanced clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to perform under stress.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate preparation, distribution and dispensing of medications in compliance with regulations and policies; direct pharmacy staff.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and readiness.
• Maintain records of pharmacy transactions, including controlled substances.
• Assist in pharmacy inventory management and processing non-formulary requests.
• Interpret, evaluate and verify medication orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to optimize drug therapy and monitor for interactions.
