Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacist II for permanent night shifts in the Emergency Department. You will deliver direct patient care, optimize pharmacotherapy, and promote medication safety with opportunities to teach and precept students and residents.

This role includes weekend/holiday coverage and participation in departmental quality projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Strong hospital pharmacy experience and MA licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Massachusetts licensure to practice pharmacy by the start date.
• PGY1 residency with at least 1 year relevant experience.
• PGY2 in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy practice with strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to optimize pharmacotherapy and promote safe medication use.
• Contribute to transitions of care and patient education.
• Engage in committees, project work, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Precept APPE students and pharmacy residents, and potentially training residents.
• Cover overnight ED shifts (9 pm–7:30 am) seven days on, seven days off.
