Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM is seeking qualified Laboratory Scientist professionals. Under supervision, you will perform waived to high complexity tests for diagnosis and treatment, maintain equipment, run QC checks, and help with QA data collection.

You may assist in training staff and coordinating with internal customers; involvement in POCT oversight and regulatory inspections may be required depending on site. Eligible LS levels range by education and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological or chemical science from an accredited institution.
• Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Equivalent education/training to an associate degree including required science hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived, moderate, or high complexity laboratory tests under supervision.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair laboratory equipment and perform QC testing.
• Document test results and QC data; monitor trends and take corrective action as needed.
• Assist with training of staff and students; act as liaison with internal/external customers.
• Participate in POCT oversight and regulatory inspections as required.

Education

Bachelor's degree in biological or chemical science

Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology

60 semester hours with required science courses option
