Job summary

TriCore Reference Laboratories, located in Clovis, NM, seeks a Laboratory Scientist to perform waived, moderate, or high complexity tests under CLIA regulations and to support QA/QC workflow in a high‑volume clinical lab.

Responsibilities include operating instruments, recording results, addressing abnormal findings with supervision, participating in regulatory inspections, and assisting with staff training and POCT oversight where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA qualifications for Laboratory Scientist I–IV as described in the posting.
• Supports QA/QC processes and regulatory inspections.
• Assists with training of new staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Performs tests with independent judgment.
• Notes abnormal results and informs supervisor or PI.
• Operates interfaces and instruments; performs basic maintenance.
• Collects QA data and monitors QC trends.
• Performs troubleshooting and documents actions.
• Participates in regulatory inspections.
• Manages inventory and orders supplies.
• Assists training for staff and students.
• Acts as liaison with internal/external customers.
• May participate in POCT oversight program and specimen collection.
