Labcorp in Detroit, MI is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join Henry Ford St John. The shift: 3, 4x10 hours, nights with rotating weekends; 8 days on/6 days off per pay period.

Responsibilities include specimen screening, SOP-driven testing, instrument troubleshooting and timely reporting of results. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or Medical Technology and 1 year of lab experience or an MLS degree; ASCP/AMT certification preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science, clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience or MLS degree is required.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results for quality patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
