Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Henry Ford Rochester in Rochester, MI. Work Schedule: Shift 3, 5x8 hours, 11:00pm to 7:30am; Rotating Weekends.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS, with 1+ year of lab testing experience (MLS accepted). ASCP/AMT preferred. Join Labcorp and contribute to high-volume, production-based clinical lab work while advancing patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE
