Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Lab Professional to join our team at Henry Ford Warren Hospital in Warren, MI. The role involves performing routine and complex tests, ensuring specimen quality, and maintaining instrumentation with attention to safety and accuracy.

Minimum qualifications include a CLS/MLS-credentialed degree and laboratory experience; ASCP/AMT certification preferred. The position supports a production-based lab environment and shift work in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology.
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE
