Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown is seeking an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel to support Registered Nurses in direct patient care during the 6N nightshift. This full-time role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and compassionate, family-centered service in a busy inpatient unit.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, basic lab tasks, transport, and keeping the unit clean and stocked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in direct patient care and activities of daily living as directed by the RN.
• Support patient comfort, safety, and unit cleanliness per policy.
• Perform routine monitoring and basic laboratory tasks as assigned.
• Transport patients and specimens; report changes to nursing staff.
• Assist with examinations, procedures, and mobility activities as needed.
