Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks a skilled Chiller Mechanic to join our team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of chiller experience, familiarity with centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers, and a solid ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. You will install, service, and maintain chillers in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings, perform preventive maintenance, and document work performed with accuracy while following safety protocols and company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical Journeyman’s License.
• Proven experience as a Chiller Mechanic or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of chiller systems, including operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and specialized equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of chillers, including centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on chillers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot chiller issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools and specialized equipment.
• Conduct performance tests and adjustments on chillers to meet specifications.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns professionally.
