Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Chiller Mechanic to join our team in the United States.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of chiller experience and a strong working knowledge of centrifugal, screw, and absorption chillers, plus the ability to read manuals, blueprints, and schematics. You will install, repair, and maintain chillers, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and document work with accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of chiller experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Mechanical Journeyman’s License preferred.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain chillers (centrifugal, screw, absorption).
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on chillers.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues; follow engineering specifications and blueprints.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools and rigging equipment.
• Conduct performance tests and adjustments to meet requirements.
• Keep records of maintenance and repair activities with parts used and labor hours.
• Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
