Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Lexington, VA is seeking a Chiller Assembly Technician to assemble and join copper and other metal components on the production line, following prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams to ensure the integrity of cooling systems.

Responsibilities include brazing, high voltage 3‑phase wiring, reading blueprints and CAD models, using tools and hoists, and keeping work area safe and organized to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models to meet production specifications.

Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and water circuit per print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms.
