Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Lexington, VA is seeking an Assembler Technician to assemble cooling systems on the production line using prints, wiring diagrams and brazing techniques. This role requires reading prints and CAD models, using hand and power tools, and ensuring safety and quality while meeting production schedules. Shift: Mon-Fri 3pm–11pm.

Pay: $24.23 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and some production assembly

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and water circuit per print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical system.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms. Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required.
