Job summary

Modine is seeking a Chiller Assembly Technician to assemble copper and other metal components using brazing techniques on the production line in Natural Bridge, VA. You will read prints and wiring diagrams, perform brazing for refrigeration systems, and handle high voltage 3-phase wiring while meeting safety and quality standards.

The role operates on 3rd shift (10 PM–6 AM) with a starting pay of $24.23/hour, increasing to $26.23/hour after 9 months, plus a shift differential of $1.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with brazing for refrigeration and water circuits.
• Ability to perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical systems.
• Measure, cut, fit and insulate water piping assemblies.
• Read prints and follow wiring diagrams to build or modify units.

Responsibilities

• Using manual and powered hand tools to assemble units per customer specs.
• Perform brazing for refrigeration and water circuits as per print requirements.
• Perform high voltage, 3-phase wiring of electrical systems.
• Measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assemblies.
• Read blueprints, work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use Windows and CAD platforms to access and enter information; keep area neat.
• Operate overhead hoists and powered industrial trucks as required.
