Job summary

UMC Health System is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for the night shift to support operations at the main campus. The role covers room preparation, assisting surgeons, and managing sterile instrumentation for procedures during 11:00pm–7:00am.

Responsibilities include sterilization, inventory control, and adherence to clinical standards. Candidates must have a surgical tech program diploma, a CST or equivalent certification, and BLS within 30 days of hire.

Requires lots of walking and extended periods of time standing and/or sitting. Effective communication with physicians and OR staff is critical. Near visual acuity required to work with documentation, instrument gauges, dials, and equipment indicators Environmental/Working Conditions This position is subject to varying indoor temperature changes. Work done intraoperative is performed in a high- risk area for exposure to blood borne pathogens and other biowaste hazards.
