WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital seeks a skilled medical laboratory professional for the Full Time Night Shift in Laboratory Support. You will perform routine and specialized testing, operate instruments, and ensure quality control, with rotation to weekends and holidays.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree or CAP-recognized diploma and ASCP certification within 1 year, plus completion of student clinical rotations.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• As part of CAP requirements, a college diploma is required provided the field of study is indicated on the diploma within 6 months of hire.
• College Transcript within 6 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Performs routine and/or specialized testing and procedures with supervision as appropriate.
• Operates a variety of laboratory instruments and maintains related records.
• Performs quality control and instrument checks and maintains related records.
• Inoculates, cultivates, and identifies microorganisms in various specimens to provide data on infectious diseases.
• May group or type blood and determine compatibility for transfusions.
• May perform chemical/immunological tests on blood and body fluids.
• Counts and describes morphology of cells; performs coagulation testing.
• Trains other employees in day-to-day procedures and collaborates with medical staff.
