Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and straight truck operations across local, intrastate, or interstate routes. You will train under a driver mentor, perform safety checks, and deliver food products while maintaining safety and DOT compliance.

Your schedule may require evenings and overnights, with minimum 4 days per week. Benefits on day one and a structured training program accompany growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL-A license required.
• Must be 21+ years old and able to pass background and drug tests.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• DOT Health Card current or able to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete entry-level driver trainee program.
• Assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post trip vehicle inspections per DOT.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Deliver and unload orders, verify invoices, collect payments as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of hours and deliveries.
• Secure trailer and equipment when not in use.
• Complete required paperwork and reports.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
