Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer and local/interstate routes, delivering food products to customers. You will train under a driver trainer, perform safety checks, and gain hands-on experience in delivery operations.

The position emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and customer service while offering a structured training program and real-world driving experience within a growing food distribution system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• Must pass post-offer drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card required.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee program.
• Ride-with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections per DOT rules.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect loaded trailer and complete required paperwork accurately.
• Drive and deliver customer orders on set routes.
• Unload, verify deliveries, obtain customer signatures and receipts.
• Secure equipment, complete hours-of-service logs, keep areas clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
