Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking entry-level Driver Trainee to learn tractor-trailer/straight truck deliveries across local routes, following DOT safety standards and company policies. You will work with trainers, perform safety inspections, and participate in hands-on loading, unloading, and customer interactions to support distribution operations.

This role requires a High School diploma or GED, 21+ years of age, a valid CDL A, and passing drug and road tests.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• Valid CDL A.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and road test.
• DOT Health Card current or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee/Dock to Driver Training Program.
• Ride with and assist driver trainer during deliveries.
• Perform required safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety policies; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer for loaded and secured freight; verify invoices.
