Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking an entry level Driver Trainee to learn tractor/trailer deliveries on local and intrastate routes. You will train with a driver mentor, perform safety inspections, and ensure on-time deliveries with proper documentation and customer interaction.

The role requires a CDL-A, clean MVR, and completion of DOT health requirements, with comprehensive benefits beginning Day 1 and opportunities for growth within America’s food distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Must possess CDL-A license and DOT Health Card.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years and 21+ years of age.
• Pass post-offer drug test and road test.

Responsibilities

• Attend and complete Entry Level Driver Trainee training and required documentation.
• Ride with driver trainer to learn deliveries and routes.
• Perform pre/post trip safety inspections in line with DOT regulations.
• Drive to deliver customer orders per schedule and unload at designated sites.
• Verify invoices, collect payments when required, and secure all equipment.
