Job summary

Southwire Company in Lafayette, Indiana is seeking a Cabler 1 Operator to safely operate cabling equipment, load reels, and interpret production orders for quality delivery.

Responsibilities include machine inspections, scrap handling, and completing orders under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, and ability to lift heavy loads; Spanish bilingual is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to work under supervision and maintain ongoing communication with the supervisor and peers through verbal instruction and reports.
• Responsible for completing production orders to customer specifications and producing a quality product.
• Operator is responsible for machine inspections.
• Put scrap into designated scrap bins.
• Any other job duties as assigned.
