Job summary

Southwire Company, LLC in SCUPP is seeking an Operator, Buncher 2 to join our manufacturing team. This medium-skill role will oversee the process of creating cabled multi-wire for use in various products and sizes.

The position requires a high school diploma, English proficiency, ability to lift up to 45 lbs, and the stamina for standing long shifts. Evening hours and a pay rate of $28.50–$30.33 per hour are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift heavy loads for long periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Buncher to produce cabled multi-wire.
• Ensure correct wire sizes, lengths and lay directions.
• Load and unload bobbins and reels.
• Make pay-off bobbin changes and take-up reel changes.
• Maintain a layer-wound package and proper scrap disposal.
• Load payoff/wind reels properly and thread payoff wire.
• Set up lay length and taping head; perform welds/splices when needed.
• Complete housekeeping and report defects.
