Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I for a night shift focused on maintaining and troubleshooting building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work. The role involves responding to tenant requests, keeping accurate records, and coordinating with senior engineers and contractors.

This is a 100% in-office position with safety protocols in place and on-call rotations. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant experience, local trade licenses, and familiarity

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of job-related experience or commensurate certification/trade experience.
• Engineering and trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Developing familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; gaining experience with BAS operation and troubleshooting.
• Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook and laptop/phone applications for work order systems, email, and training platforms.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds; physical aptitude for demanding tasks.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests, including hot/cold calls, plumbing issues, and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and elevate issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections to identify deficiencies; assist with preventive maintenance tasks and contractor oversight.
• Follow company safety protocols and use PPE; ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA; report hazards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies; support recovery during severe weather and outages.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers and technicians.
• Work with senior engineers to develop technical skills; participate in professional development programs.
