Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Blending Team Lead to oversee night-shift operations in a 12-hour rotating schedule (2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals across the blending department.

Responsibilities include assigning work, training staff, coordinating material deliveries, and resolving issues with a focus on process improvement and teamwork. A strong leadership background in manufacturing is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree from a 2-year college/university preferred.
• 3+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year leadership experience required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction, and oversight to the Blending Team to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
• Assigns work to Team Leaders, Operators, and Rail Car Attendants.
• Ensures plant safety procedures are followed to promote personal safety and safety of others.
• Oversees raw material deliveries daily to ensure materials are accessible.
• Promotes diversity, shared responsibility for success, honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Communicates pertinent information to Rail Car Attendants, Operators, and Leads.
• Provides training to Shift Leaders, Operators, and Rail Car Attendants.
• Troubleshoots blend systems and equipment and makes adjustments.
• Ensures materials and mixes meet specifications and batch tolerances.
