Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Blending Team Supervisor to oversee shift operations on a 12-hour night schedule (6:30pm–7:00am). You will lead the blending team, assign tasks, ensure safety and quality, coordinate material deliveries, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree preferred, 3+ years manufacturing experience, and at least 1 year of leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree from a 2-year college/university preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Minimum 1 year leadership experience required.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction, and oversight to the Blending Team to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives.
• Assigns work to Team Leaders, Operators, and Rail Car Attendants.
• Ensures plant safety procedures are followed to promote personal and team safety.
• Oversees daily raw material deliveries to ensure materials are available.
• Promotes engagement, diversity, honesty, integrity, and problem solving among team members.
• Communicates information to Rail Car Attendants, Operators, and Leads.
• Provides training to Shift Leaders, Operators, and Rail Car Attendants.
• Troubleshoots blend systems and equipment and makes adjustments.
• Ensures correct materials and mixes per specifications.
• Monitors blend quality, conducts daily audits and follows process standards.
• Ensures preventive and general maintenance is performed as required.
• Performs safety checks on all machinery and reports issues.
• Identifies maintenance needs and coordinates with maintenance to repair equipment.
• Performs administrative duties and processes forms.
• Supports production schedule to ensure on-time execution.
• Maintains plant floor housekeeping.
• Follows company policies and procedures.
• Works with management on process improvements.
