Job summary

Promises Behavioral Health in Texas is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician for full-time work in a residential setting for adults with co-occurring diagnoses. The role involves around-the-clock supervision and creating a therapeutic milieu. This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth.

Shifts are 3 x 12 hours, 7pm-7am, rotating weekends. A valid driver's license is required, and prior experience in addiction or mental health is preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in addiction or mental health fields (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in varied situations.
• Knowledge of organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability to document thoroughly in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to maintain a therapeutic milieu in a residential facility.
• Assist with daily operations including transportation and inventory management.
• Observe and document client behaviors and attend programming.
• Assist medication observations and vitals with nursing staff.
• Facilitate non-clinical group sessions within scope of practice.
