Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support the Behavioral Health team on the night shift. You will assist with coordinating patient care and support the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality services to adults with behavioral health needs.

The role requires a High School Diploma, with 1 year of behavioral health experience preferred; CNA certification or an associate’s degree in healthcare is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• 1 year inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
• CNA certification required or Associate’s degree in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and help coordinate patient care.
• Assist with all patient care provided by the multidisciplinary team.
• Encourage and support team members.
• Provide instruction to team members.
• Greet and orient patients on admission/arrival.
• Review safety protocols with patient and coordinate with nurse.
• Prepare patient for discharge or transfer.
• Gather and secure patient belongings (excluding medications).

Skills
