Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a patient-care assistant to support physicians and nurses in both direct and indirect care. You will perform EKGs, finger stick glucose, phlebotomy, wound care, and record vital signs, while assisting with materials management and equipment maintenance according to policy.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, CPR certification, and relevant hospital experience or credentialing in nursing assistance or medical assisting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification must be current.
• Experience in a hospital setting or active credentialing from approved organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physicians and nurses.
• Participate in direct and indirect patient care including EKGs, phlebotomy, wound care, and vital signs.
• Assist with materials management and equipment maintenance as directed.
