Job summary

You will monitor production quality, maintain records, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with other shifts to ensure smooth handovers.

The role requires basic computer skills and the ability to read and interpret safety and operating instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees.
• Basic mathematical and geometry concepts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production workers to ensure the smooth running of the production process for assigned shift(s).
• Monitor quantity and quality of production and report on production related processes.
• Check to confirm all products are produced to established specifications. Monitor quantity and quality of production. Verify that production schedules are met.
• Maintain production records and prepare various reports.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot when needed to identify root causes and make effective corrections.
• Advise regarding recommended equipment maintenance and/or repair.
• Ensure training skills are met for current and future demands of shift.
• Coordinate with other shift supervisors to ensure effective production handovers.
• Advocate safe working practices and report hazardous conditions.
• Maintain good housekeeping program for assigned shift(s).
• Perform other job-related duties are directed.
