Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health in Garner, North Carolina, seeks an Admissions RN for full-time night shifts (7pm–7:30am). You will manage intake, admissions screening, insurance verification, and coordination with medical staff to ensure timely admissions. The role requires RN licensure and prior mental health admissions experience where possible.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Experience in mental health admissions is preferred.
• Strong interviewing and assessment abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients, documenting symptoms and needs.
• Collaborates with facility staff to ensure appropriate recommendations and timely admissions.
• Provides call center coverage, verifies insurance, and assists with pre-certifications during high volume.
• Reviews patient charts to determine medical necessity and coordinates with physicians for orders.
