Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health in Garner, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time day shift. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, supervise care by LPNs and CNAs, and develop individualized care plans for patients in an acute behavioral health setting.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, documenting care, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience within clinical area of service preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and behavioral health needs; develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Monitor patient status and communicate findings to providers.
• Document accurately; transcribe orders and ensure compliance with policy.
• Administer medications with dual identifiers and monitor effects.
• Provide hand-offs and educate patients and families about medications and care plans.
