Job summary

Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health in Garner, NC seeks a Registered Nurse for full-time day shift. The role reports to the unit team and coordinates care with LPNs, CNAs and other staff in an acute psychiatric setting.

The RN will develop and implement individualized care plans, monitor patient status, document thoroughly, administer medications with safety checks, and participate in hand-offs and team rounds to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Domestic ordering and record-keeping as part of standard RN duties.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric settings preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards in acute psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Assess and coordinate patient care, maintain records, and educate families.
• Assess patient status and communicate findings to providers.
• Transcribe orders accurately and ensure policy-compliant documentation.
• Administer medications using two patient identifiers and monitor effects.
• Provide hand-off reports and participate in team rounds.
