Job summary

MercyOne Medical Group is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Davenport, IA area. The role covers 12-hour night shifts, with responsibilities including initial patient assessment, care planning, and coordination with the healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

The RN will provide and direct nursing care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, supervise other nursing team members, and communicate with physicians and families to support goal-directed care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessment of patients within 30 minutes of arrival.
• Identifies patient problems and develops outcome-based plans.
• Implements and coordinates the plan of care with the care team.
• Monitors patient progress and reassesses every 24 hours.
• Communicates with physicians, patients and families to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintains safety and adherence to policies and procedures.
