Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse for the 12 Hour Night Shift. You will provide safe, effective, and culturally competent care for patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, coordinating with the care team to optimize outcomes.

Responsibilities include initial assessments, developing care plans, communicating with physicians and families, ongoing reassessment, and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensure to practice in Iowa.
• Experience in acute medical/surgical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient assessments within 30 minutes of admission.
• Develop and implement outcome-based care plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians, staff and families; document patient progress.
• Reassess patient status regularly to adjust care plans.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education.
