Job summary

MercyOne Trinity Health in Iowa is seeking a Part-time Acute Care RN for night shift from 7PM to 7AM, 24 hours per week. The RN provides safe, effective nursing care for acute medical and surgical patients and supervises licensed staff under MercyOne’s standards.

Essential duties include initial assessment within 30 minutes, developing care plans, coordinating interventions, and guiding discharge planning. Requires ADN; Iowa RN license; BLS; ACLS if telemetry is required. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Iowa RN license.
• AHA BLS required.
• ACLS required only if telemetry monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Conducts an initial assessment within 30 minutes of arrival.
• Develops outcome-based care plans.
• Implements and coordinates plan of care with the care team.
• Communicates with physicians, patients and families.
• Performs discharge planning and education.
