Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency, Inc. is seeking a part-time Domestic Violence Shelter Relief Staff for the 3rd shift (12 p.m.–8:30 a.m.). Bi-weekly pay and direct client services are core facets of the role in Halifax, South Boston, Mecklenburg, Charlotte, and Lunenburg counties.

Responsibilities include intake, crisis intervention, referrals, and outreach with partner agencies. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, with experience coordinating services for domestic violence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or related field preferred.
• Experience working with human services agencies and coordinating programs.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and responding to domestic violence victims.

Responsibilities

• Provide intake services, crisis intervention, support and advocacy for shelter residents.
• Make referrals to other agencies and counselors as needed.
• Develop relationships with human services partners to coordinate services.
