Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Set-Up Technician to help keep production equipment running smoothly by assembling, disassembling, and maintaining machines for each job in a 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM). You’ll support line setup and work with operators to ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of mechanical or machine operator experience; must lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable around powders, chemicals, and food allergens.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of mechanical or machine operator experience.
• Mechanical/electrical trade background or technical school preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout your shift.
• Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens.
• Flexible to work overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, disassemble, clean, and maintain production equipment.
• Set up and operate manufacturing and packaging machines.
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to support productivity.
• Troubleshoot setup issues and minimize downtime.
• Monitor and optimize lines during production runs.
• Match labels with batch records and verify accuracy.
• Maintain inventory of tools and parts.
• Assist operators and maintenance technicians as needed.
• Create or update machine centerline procedures.
• Follow safety rules, GMPs, SOPs, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
