Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) in San Jose, CA. You will patrol residential and other sites, deter incidents, assist with access control, and respond to alarms and resident concerns while delivering exceptional service.

The role emphasizes a visible, professional presence and strong communication with residents and staff. Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent, with preferred CPR/First Aid and badge experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• A drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to residents, guests, and visitors while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents and resident concerns in a calm, professional manner and notify responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity, documenting incidents and policy violations.
• Communicate professionally with residents, staff, visitors, and leadership while maintaining presence.
