Job summary

Methodist Midlothian Medical Center in Midlothian, Texas, is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide chest therapy, ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, and related care for adults and neonates.

You will work a 36-hour week on a night shift, 7pm–7am, with rotating weekends, under the supervision of the department's medical director. Must have NBRC registration, Texas license, ACLS/BLS, and obtain NRP within 1 year of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
• NRP/ Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by Texas Medical Board.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• At least 6 months respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory therapeutics including oxygen, aerosols, and chest physiotherapy.
• Administers ABG, PFTs, and reports diagnostic results.
• Assists in ventilation management and airway maintenance.
• Interprets chest X-ray, ABG, and PFT data to inform care.
• Maintains equipment, infection control, and safety standards.
• Supports patient assessment with bedside evaluation and chart review.
• Collaborates with medical staff under supervision of the director.
