Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shift at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. This full-time role (36 hours/week) features a shift pattern 7:00pm–7:30am, with every third weekend and rotating holidays.

You will support physicians, deliver respiratory care across all age groups, assess patients to select therapy methods, document and transcribe orders, and educate patients and families while monitoring responses and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by CoARC.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry-eligible; IL licensure within 6 months.
• Current CPR, and ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with respiratory therapy procedures as requested.
• Provide therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to choose the most suitable treatment method.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance, and orders; transcribe orders as needed.
• Communicate treatment plans to patients and families clearly.
• Monitor patient response to therapy, with emphasis on pediatric/neonatal.
• Provide patient and staff education.
