Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, IL. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week with 8- or 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holidays.

The position pays $33.16 to $51.40 per hour and includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus. You will provide respiratory care across neonatal to geriatric patients, assess needs, document treatments, and educate patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program as determined by CoARC.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible status required.
• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure required within 6 months of employment.
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association required.
• ACLS, NRP and PALS required within 24 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians.
• Assess patients to determine the most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe orders.
• Communicate treatment to patient and family clearly.
• Monitor patient response to therapy with attention to pediatric and neonatal patients.
• Provide patient and staff education.

Education

CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program

RRT or registry eligible

IL state licensure within 6 months

American Heart Association CPR certificate

ACLS/NRP/PALS within 24 months
