Job summary

Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for night shifts. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with 7:00pm–7:30am shifts, every third weekend and rotating holidays, plus a $25,000 sign-on bonus.

You will deliver respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients, assist physicians, document treatment and ensure equipment readiness, while educating patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or registry eligible.
• Illinois licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within 6 months.
• Current CPR certification.
• ACLS, NRP and PALS required within 24 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with respiratory therapy procedures.
• Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal through geriatric patients as ordered.
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment.
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and orders.
• Educate patients and families about the treatments being performed.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, with emphasis on pediatrics.
