Job summary

UNC Rex Staffing Response Team (SRT) nurses float across multiple units at UNC Rex Raleigh and UNC Rex Holly Springs campuses, delivering care across Critical Care, ED, and Medicine units. The role requires flexibility to float to at least two service areas and to work 12-hour night shifts at least every other week or three nights in six weeks.

This per diem position offers onsite work with a strong emphasis on patient safety, teamwork, and continuous learning within the Rex Health system.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing preferred.
• Must have NC RN Licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of two years of current acute care hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Documents patient assessments, care provided and responses according to procedure.
• Maintain patient safety and follow fall prevention and skin care protocols.
• Clarifies medication orders; provide patient education on medications.
• Develops individualized plan of care and collaborates with health care team.
• Implements and evaluates the nursing plan of care on assigned patients.
