Job summary

Laredo Medical Center is hiring an RN OBGYN for night shifts to provide compassionate, evidence-based care to obstetric patients and newborns. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to monitor, educate, and support patients through labor, delivery, and postpartum care, while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, and 0–2 years in acute care. ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care required.
• RN license with state licensure or compact state licensure.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of nursing process and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care per nursing process and physician orders.
• Document assessments, care plans, and interventions clearly.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians in procedures within competency scope.
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team for outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-discharge care.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
