Job summary

Woodland Heights Medical Center is seeking an RN on the Night shift in the Labor and Delivery department to provide patient-centered care. You will coordinate care with physicians and the care team, administer medications, monitor maternal and fetal status, and educate families. This 149-bed facility emphasizes compassion, accountability, and service in East Texas.

You must hold RN licensure with ACLS/PALS preferred and be committed to safety, quality, and continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• RN with state licensure required.
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of the nursing process and patient assessments.
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement.
• Accurate documentation in medical records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients thoroughly and report condition changes to care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop care plans.
• Provide patient and family education on care plans and discharge.
• Maintain infection control practices and monitor equipment safety.
• Document care thoroughly in the medical record.
