Job summary

Laredo Medical Center is seeking an RN in Labor & Delivery for night shifts. The RN provides patient-centered perinatal care, collaborates with physicians and teams, and ensures safety and quality across obstetric care, newborn care, and postpartum education.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering medications, assisting with labor and delivery, and educating families. Candidates should hold an RN license and be prepared to work night shifts in a busy perinatal unit.

Qualifications

• RN license required to practice in the U.S.
• Proficient in patient assessments and nursing documentation.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care using the nursing process.
• Coordinate and deliver care with physicians and staff.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Monitor and administer medications per orders and document administration.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code team activities.
• Educate on postpartum care and breastfeeding as needed.
