Job summary

Prisma Health in Richland, SC is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Neonatal Intensive Care unit on the Night shift. The RN provides direct patient care in an acute inpatient setting, collaborates with an interdisciplinary team, and develops individualized care plans aligned with safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Requires RN licensure and basic nursing competencies.
• One (1) year experience as a registered nurse.
• Nurse Residency or LPN alternative options may apply in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and completes nursing assessments using area/age specific standards and tools.
• Develops an individualized plan of care with patient and family, and collaborates with the care team.
• Updates the plan as patient condition changes and communicates changes to the team.
• Provides direct patient care per the nursing plan and unit policies.
• Delegates nursing tasks to team members and ensures completion of assigned tasks.
• Monitors quality of care and ensures patient safety through appropriate practices.
• Engages in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and documents progress.
