Prisma Health in Richland Hospital seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide clinical direction for patient care in an acute inpatient nephrology unit. The role emphasizes patient/family-centered care, evidence-based practice, safety, and quality improvement within the nursing process.

The RN will work a schedule including night shifts, weekends, and on-call duties, collaborating with physicians and the health care team to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• One year experience as a registered nurse.
• In lieu of the above minimum requirements, Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assessments: Collects data and completes nursing assessment using appropriate standards and tools.
• Planning/Outcomes: Develops an individual plan of care with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
• Implementation: Provides direct care per nursing plan and delegates tasks as appropriate.
• Evaluation: Evaluates plan of care and revises as needed; communicates changes to team.
• Patient Family Education/Teaching: Identifies learning needs and teaches using clear language; engages patient/family.
• Professional Accountability: Maintains licensure, ongoing education, and patient advocacy.
