Job summary

Three Trails Behavioral Hospital in Independence, MO is seeking an experienced RN House Supervisor for our night shift. You will provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing staff, ensure safe and compliant patient care, and act as on-site administrator during night shifts.

The role requires MO RN license and BLS/CPR certification, with BSN preferred and prior supervisory or psychiatric nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Missouri RN license in good standing is required.
• BSN degree preferred.
• Behavioral health/psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.
• Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to work 7:00pm-7:30am for three shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing staff during the assigned shift.
• Ensure safe, therapeutic, and compliant patient care aligned with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Serve as the on-site administrative representative during non typical hours.
• Support staff with clinical decision-making, patient assessments, and crisis intervention.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient flow as needed.
