Job summary

River Place Behavioral Health Hospital in LaPlace, LA, is seeking an RN House Supervisor for FT Nights to lead a clinical team and ensure safe, coordinated care. You will oversee patient assignments, mentor staff, and coordinate nursing, medical, and behavioral health activities across the shift.

The ideal candidate has BSN preferred, 3+ years nursing practice, 2+ years in behavioral health, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Three or more years’ experience in nursing practice is required.
• Two or more years’ experience in behavioral health is preferred.
• One or more years’ experience in a supervisory or charge position is preferred.
• Current RN license is required; CPR and de-escalation certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide, delegate, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Function as the lead nurse on the assigned shift.
• Oversee staff assignments and supervise duties and projects.
• Offer professional and administrative leadership to staff.
• Coordinate nursing and medical/behavioral health activities across shifts.
• Mentor and train staff as needed.
• Document medical and behavioral health information and nursing care.
• Administer medications and maintain records per policy.
